The 60th edition of Marmomac has officially opened: the global hub trade fair for the techno-stone supply chain, featuring over 1,300 exhibiting companies from 54 nations and trade professionals expected from 140 countries
“The 60th edition of this major international trade show in Verona stands as an extraordinary symbol of Made in Italy’s success and of the country’s collective capacity to establish itself as a global benchmark.” These were the words of Adolfo Urso, Minister of Enterprises and Made in Italy, speaking today at the opening of the 60th edition of Marmomac, the leading international exhibition for the natural stone and techno-stone industry. Running through September 25, the trade fair hosts over 1,300 exhibiting companies from 54 nations across 12 halls and 8 outdoor areas—covering more than 80,000 square meters—with trade professionals and buyers expected from over 140 countries, 80% of whom are key purchasing decision-makers. The event brings together the entire supply chain: raw, semi-finished, and finished products, machinery, processing technologies, tooling, engineering, architecture, design, and professional training. “The event,” Urso continued, “comes at a time of strong international expansion, reaffirming Italy’s leadership in quality, design, and manufacturing excellence. It is a dynamism that is tangibly reflected across foreign markets.”
Indeed, Marmomac serves as a premier promotional platform for the Italian natural stone supply chain, a sector heavily oriented toward exports. In Italy, the industry encompasses 3,200 companies and 34,000 workers. In 2025, production exceeded 5 billion dollars, with exports reaching 3.5 billion dollars and a trade surplus of over 2.9 billion dollars. According to findings by the Confindustria Marmomacchine Studies Centre, in the first half of 2026 aggregate exports of materials and technologies grew by 5.5% compared to the same period in 2025, reaching 1.69 billion dollars.
The opening ceremony of Marmomac 2026 was also attended by Minister of Tourism Gianmarco Mazzi, President of the Veneto Region Alberto Stefani, President of the Province of Verona Flavio Massimo Pasini, Mayor of Verona Damiano Tommasi, President of Veronafiere Federico Bricolo, and President of Confindustria Marmomacchine Gianluca Pellegrino. Joining via video link was the President of the Italian Trade Agency (ICE), Matteo Zoppas. Representing Veronafiere were also General Director Giovanni Sacripante, Deputy General Director Gianni Bruno, Head of Veronafiere B2B Area Valeria Santolin, and Marmomac Event Manager Francesca Zivelonghi.
