Verona, 5 May 2025 – Federico Bricolo has been unanimously reconfirmed as President of Veronafiere for the 2025–2028 term. The decision was taken today by the Shareholders’ Meeting which, following approval of the 2024 financial statements of the Group, appointed the new Board of Directors: Romano Artoni, outgoing Vice President and a manager with extensive experience in the financial sector; Marina Montedoro, new Vice President and Director of Coldiretti Veneto; Barbara Ferro, expert in strategic planning, economic-financial management, and organizational design; Désirée Zucchi, entrepreneur in the cultural sector and corporate trainer; Silvia Nicolis, President of the Museo Nicolis; and Alfonso Sonato, accountant and statutory auditor with appointments in public and private entities. The new Board, renewed by two-thirds with five new members out of seven, features for the first time in Veronafiere’s history a female majority, with four women among its seven members.

“Being reconfirmed as President of Veronafiere is an honour and a responsibility that I accept with the utmost commitment,” said Federico Bricolo. “I wish to express my heartfelt thanks to all the Shareholders for their renewed trust. Without their closeness to the company, the record results achieved in recent years would not have been possible. My thanks also go to the outgoing Board of Directors for its great work and sense of responsibility, and to CEO Maurizio Danese for his collaboration over these years. We now begin a new three-year period full of challenges and opportunities which we will face as a team with the newly appointed Board, characterised by vision, energy, and expertise, together with General Manager Adolfo Rebughini. The strong presence of women will undoubtedly be an added value. Together, we will work to further consolidate Veronafiere’s position as a leading player in the national and international exhibition landscape, promoting the key Made in Italy sectors represented in our portfolio.”

“I conclude my term as CEO with satisfaction for the important results achieved,” added Maurizio Danese. “In these years, we have led Veronafiere through a delicate phase, restoring the company’s financial solidity, as demonstrated by the record 2024 results. With the new strategic development plan ONE Veronafiere 2024–2026, now fully operational, we have streamlined the Group structure, invested in people and technologies, integrated ESG criteria, and introduced new formats and events, while strengthening the internationalisation of our brands and expanding our presence in established and emerging markets. Among the key achievements is the strategic repositioning of Vinitaly in 2022, pursued through a new incoming policy aligned with the industry’s needs. This shared decision also enhanced Vinitaly and the City, which has become a transversal cultural event complementing our exhibition offering. I leave behind a stronger, more innovative Veronafiere, ready for future challenges. I thank the Shareholders, President Federico Bricolo, General Manager Adolfo Rebughini, and the entire Veronafiere team for the work carried out together.”
