Trade Fairs: safe restart thanks to the safebusiness protocol
A safe restart: this is the objective of Veronafiere’s “Safebusiness” protocol. The document contains the guidelines updated with the latest anti-Covid dispositions validated by the Technical Scientific Committee of the Civil Protection Authority, national health authorities and AEFI, the reference association in Italy for trade fairs.
Attending trade fairs is now possible again. Simply follow a few simple requirements.
Starting from a personal approach that translates into three basic rules:
- maintain social distancing of at least one metre from other people;
- always wear a face mask
- sanitize your hands frequently.
Veronafiere then takes care of everything else.
Safeguarding the health of employees, exhibitors and visitors is always the top priority and given the spread of the pandemic on a global scale, the entire exhibition centre and the activities it hosts have been redesigned in the light of the latest prevention measures.
It starts with access: digital tickets on smartphones purchased online for a specific date and body temperature measurements with a thermo-scanner at the turnstiles.
The daily capacity for events is calculated in relation to the parameters defined by the World Health Organization. And thanks to an available area of more than 300,000 sq.m. (equal to 42 football pitches), meetings and business at Veronafiere couldn’t be easier while upholding social distancing at all times.
In this regard, further assurances are provided by an intelligent network of 400 cameras capable of identifying any gatherings in real time and monitoring correct use of PPE thanks to advanced computer vision software.
On entering the exhibition centre, an app guides visitors around the stands, indicating differential Hall entry and exit routes, which are also highlighted by specific coloured sign-posting on the ground.
The keyword in all shared areas is hygiene: in addition to water-alcohol gel dispensers to disinfect hands, disinfection procedures for all premises and air conditioning systems involving specialist cleaning teams have also been upgraded.
Specific rules will also be applied to conference facilities (with reduced capacity and spacing of seats) and catering.
Safety will also be served at table during trade shows with business lunches, new criteria for serving food and drinks and the food delivery app for booking stand catering services.
Every event will also have a permanent medical unit complete with an isolation-room to oversee health surveillance. Here, a team of doctors and nurses will always be on hand to intervene in an emergency, implementing a specific protocol to manage suspected cases of Covid-19, and the support of a local hospital in the forefront in the field of rare and contagious diseases.
