Maurizio Danese, President of Veronafiere S.p.A.: “The transformation of Veronafiere into an equity company is long overdue and achieves an important goal. Given the highly competitive international context, the legal status of joint-stock company and the business plan envisaging consistent and targeted investments will enable us to move quickly to strengthen the portfolio of world-leading events, develop existing potential and significantly increase market share and profitability. This will also help place Veronafiere firmly among the international leaders in the sector, with genuine benefits for a broad range of public and private stakeholders. In Europe, exhibition centres are viewed as strategic infrastructures for the competitive development of national economies and their own local areas. This is why our goal is to continue creating wealth for our local and regional reference context – estimated by key indicators in the sector at 1 billion euros/year, equal to approximately 4% of provincial GDP.”
