Fieracavalli 2022: Veronafiere: 140,000 people celebrate passion for the equestrian world

Visitors up by 40% over 2021. The 125th edition of Veronafiere's equestrian event is scheduled 2- 5 November 2023.

Verona, 6 November 2022 – The 124th edition of Fieracavalli closed today at Veronafiere after consolidating its leadership as an international landmark event in the equestrian sector. In four days (3-6 November), 140,000 visitors attend the Show from 57 countries. For Fieracavalli itself, this was a return to its the traditional format, after the 2021 version held over two weekends with admission restrictions imposed by the pandemic, that nevertheless attracted 100,000 visitors. The Horse Fair this year was inaugurated by the Minister of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty, Francesco Lollobrigida. The President of the Chamber of Deputies, Lorenzo Fontana, also visited the event.

 

Two hundred events animated the 12 halls of the show, including top-level sporting competitions such as the only Italian stage of the Longines FEI World Cup, morphological competitions, western disciplines, shows and educational activities. Fieracavalli also welcomed numerous initiatives in terms of entertainment for the whole family, with performances in outdoor areas, the Gold Gala in the evening and regional cuisine served by food-trucks also in the evening.

 

The breeding sector is always the absolute protagonist of the event thanks to 2,400 horses representing 60 international breeds, thereby highlighting biodiversity in Italy and abroad thanks also to the efforts of 35 associations. Visitors also found the finest equitation equipment and superb horseback tourism offerings presented by 700 companies from 25 countries. The next edition of Fieracavalli is scheduled 2-5 November 2023.
