Marmomac 2025 at Veronafiere: 50,000 operators from 140 countries confirm the event’s world leadership in the natural stone industry

Verona, 26 September 2025 – The 59th edition of Marmomac closed its doors today. having turned Veronafiere for four days into the centre of the international natural stone market. More than 1,400 exhibiting companies from 54 countries met over 50,000 professionals from 140 countries, confirming Marmomac’s status as the leading international event for business, innovation, and culture in the techno-stone industry. Against this background, Italy’s natural stone industry confirmed its position as the world’s second largest exporter, with 14% of global exports worth €3.1 billions.

The inauguration of Marmomac 2025 was attended by the Minister for European Affairs, Cohesion Policies and PNRR Tommaso Foti, highlighting the strategic value of this trade fair as an industrial policy tool within the country system. The 2025 edition was characterised precisely by this concept of “marble diplomacy” capable of bringing together businesses, institutions, associations and markets notwithstanding a complex global landscape. This was equally emphasised on the first day by the signing of two memoranda of understanding between Italy, Algeria, and Ethiopia concerning the creation of technology centres specifically focused on marble, decorative stone, and professional training.

Marmomac clearly demonstrates Italy’s ability to transform a sector like this into a vehicle for international relations and shared development.” said Federico Bricolo, President of Veronafiere. “Cooperation with Confindustria Marmomacchine and ITA-Italian Trade Agency helped strengthen attendance by international buyers and delegations, while Italy’s marble districts, with Verona in the lead, displayed their expertise in a truly global context. Marmomac is not just an exhibition event but rather an occasion where industrial policy can interact with the vision of local areas to give voice to all the excellence this supply chain has to offer.”

Facts and figures for this year’s event highlight the format’s solid foundations: attendance by sector professional was stable compared to the already record numbers posted in 2024, with the international share growing to more than 66%. The six most represented markets were once again Germany, Spain, the United States, France, the United Kingdom and India. In particular, China (+3%), Canada (+20%) and the Arabian Peninsula (+20%) also grew. The exhibition area came to more than 76,000 square meters for the first time, thanks in part to the new facilities in the Gallerie Mercatali area, joining 12 show halls and 8 outdoor areas. New features included the debut of Show Hall 1 entirely dedicated to Brazil, in harmony with developments with the Marmomac Brazil project.

Marmomac confirmed status as the global benchmark for the natural stone sector: Not merely a successful marketplace but especially a strategic platform capable of creating a system to build international partnerships throughout the entire supply chain. The eternal beauty of natural stone was spotlighted here as an expression of the passion of the people who work it and the technologies that amplify its value and emotion. Marmomac is the venue where business, innovation and culture come together and effectively strengthen each other. Extraordinary attendance by exhibitors and buyers from every continent confirms Verona as a global hub for the sector,” said Adolfo Rebughini, General Manager of Veronafiere.

Marmomac also further developed its cultural vocation alongside its business dimension. The Marmomac & The City project, in collaboration with ArtVerona, took of art works and installations into the heart of Verona, thereby strengthening the bond between art, design, and natural stone. Dialogue with academies and universities was also upgraded thanks to workshops, exhibitions and awards involving students, architects and young designers: This investment in training looks to the future of the supply chain by combining creativity, technology and new visions.

The next appointment at Veronafiere is already confirmed: 22-25 September 2026. This edition has a special meaning: we will celebrate Marmomac’s 60th anniversary – further confirmation of its unique role on a global scale. This approach is also accompanied by international developments such as Marmomac Brazil, scheduled in São Paulo 24-26 February 2026.
