The Giro d’Italia pays a visit to Veronafiere

The time trial concluding the 102nd Giro d’Italia was battled out in front of an audience of 20,000 enthusiasts, confirming the triumph of Ecuadorian Richard Carapaz in the final ranking, ahead of Italian Vincenzo Nibali and Slovenian Primoz Roglic.

The start was attended by the Governor of the Veneto Region, Luca Zaia, the Mayor of Verona, Federico Sboarina, and, for Veronafiere, President Maurizio Danese and CEO Giovanni Mantovani.

Veronafiere, as partner of the event, hosted the RCS Sport and La Gazzetta dello Sport Village, the team paddocks and the local area promotion initiative set up together with the Verona City Council, Verona Chamber of Commerce and the Malcesine Monte Baldo Cableway.

The next appointment with bicycles at Veronafiere is with CosmoBike Show, the festival dedicated to the world of cycling scheduled 15-16 February 2020.
