Wine: wine2wine business forum travels to Chicago with Vinitaly.USA

The wine2wine business forum on the road with Vinitaly.USA: The Navy Pier in Chicago 5-6 October 2025. A new step takes shape for the international growth of Italian wine with Veronafiere-Vinitaly.

First held in 2014 to promote relationships, insights and strategic vision among sector professionals, wine2wine integrates into the Vinitaly.USA format with the goal of strengthening the competitiveness of Italian wine-makers on the North American market. The programme includes B2B meetings, market analysis, specialist training and tastings through the direct involvement of the 33rd Vinitaly International Academy (VIA) event as well as key local players.

“The expansion of wine2wine into Chicago,” said Adolfo Rebughini, General Manager of Veronafiere, “consolidates Vinitaly as a global hub for Italian wine. Following the excellent debut in 2024, Vinitaly.USA confirms its status as a strategic platform for the Italian wine system. The goal is to ensure continuity for Italy’s presence on the US market by activating permanent tools for dialogue, training and international business.”

Thanks to its hybrid format – with in-person sessions and live streaming – this event ensures maximised access to content even for companies and professionals connecting from Italy and other countries. The programme will focus on crucial issues such as: positioning of Made in Italy brands in the USA, evolution of the direct-to-consumer channel, and the perception of Italian wine among American consumers.

Highlights include a blind tasting with Trento DOC and Alta Langa DOCG wines in comparison with international sparkling labels to promote Italian excellence in a competitive and global perspective.

The first edition of Vinitaly.USA (October 2024) involved 230 wineries from 7 regions of Italy, involving more than 1,650 labels and in excess of 1,500 accredited professional operators including buyers, importers, distributors and the HoReCa area. Integrating wine2wine helps Vinitaly.USA strengthen its identity as a permanent landmark for the promotion and internationalisation of Italian wine in the United States.
